Pre-Employment Screening

The pre-employment assessment is a functional evaluation, based on the specific job demands analysis of a job. The result of an assessment is in the form of a pass/fail designation. The screening helps reduce the risk of work-related injuries for both the employer and the prospective employee.

Job Demands Analysis (JDA)

JDAs provide health and safety managers, claims managers, medical health practitioners and rehabilitation facilities with an objective, comprehensive tool in order to efficiently manage your employees’ sustainable return to pre-accident job duties.

Clear, concise job task information is observed and analyzed. It can be sent to all stakeholders, eliminating the need for rehabilitation practitioners to repeatedly visit the worksite for each individual case. Digital information allows stakeholders to better understand the injured employees’ pre-accident job tasks and, ultimately, make better decisions about their situation.

Management & Employee Education

Proactive information sessions are designed to educate employees on the nature of injuries common to their profession along with functional injury prevention interventions that can be incorporated into their daily tasks/activities. These sessions introduce employees to different stretching and warm-up techniques that can be used both at work and at home.

ERGONOMICS

The correct fit between the employee and their workstation is key to the prevention of repetitive strain and / or postural injuries. Employees are educated about why, and how to adjust their workstations and posture in order to support an optimal workspace.

WORKSITE & REMOTE PHYSICAL THERAPY

FORM has had great success with its onsite, worksite and remote physical therapy program. “Worksite” means PT delivered right at work. “Remote” is PT advice and guidance via video conference for distant locations, and for urgent concerns. The program:

  • ensures employees address their work-related and non-work-related physical sprains and strains in a timely, proactive manner. Often employees do not seeking medical advice until a symptom becomes more serious;

  • nurtures a wellness culture;

  • is much less costly than a WCB claim.

DISABILITY MANAGEMENT CONSULTING

This involves Return-to-Work / Modified Work Plan development and monitoring (based on the JDA) to correctly match modified job tasks to injury types and locations in order to achieve sustainable plans, minimize workplace disruption and maintain employee morale and physical conditioning.
